In 1948 Kenneth Laurent commissioned Frank Lloyd Wright to build a home that integrated his needs as a wheelchair-bound, disabled veteran with Wright’s signature open plan designs. Wright used the opportunity to develop his elliptical plan for the first time.
I photographed this home for a Wright Important Design auction in November 2011. The catalog design was done by Jennifer Mahanay.
The images were successful online and spread virally through Tumblr. The homeowner was very happy with the photos and the house sold at auction.
